Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge

For those who seek a little more excitement, don't miss the Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge. While there are some accessible trails during the dry season, the best way to travel is by boat, and the Caño Negro Day Tour. Enjoy watching the birds and three species of monkeys, as well as a variety of amphibians and reptiles from the shaded comfort of the tour's spacious pontoon boat. The Cano Negro Arenal Tour includes a home made box lunch, served in green country side surroundings.
